Breads

    All of our breads do freeze well, and we recommend freezing the bread 2 days after purchase (or sooner). The breads will usually last up to 5 days in the fridge, or 2 days on the counter.
    *Tips for freezing:
    - make sure bread is cooled completely before slicing
    - if you place pieces of paper/parchment between slices before freezing, the slices will come apart more easily when frozen.
    - after freezing, bread is improved by toasting.

  • Staple Loaf (dairy-free) ($7.50) - All-purpose firm loaf, compact but with a soft crumb, enriched with ground sunflower seeds and whole flax seeds.
  • Pepita Loaf ( $7.50 ) - Another great bread, fluffier, more moist, flavourful and healthy with ground pumpkin seeds, ground flax seeds, and duck eggs. See info on duck eggs here: http://originbakery.com/understand#Eggs. Be careful when slicing because of its more fragile texture. If frozen, do not thaw before toasting.

  • Oat Bread (egg free) ($7.50) - A mild tasting, firmer sandwich loaf, moist and wonderful with butter and honey. Dense enough to be a good sandwich loaf.
  • Vega Bread (egg/dairy free) ($7.50) - Lighter sandwich bread with an earthy flavour, springy and chewy texture, enriched with chia gel, hemp hearts and olive oil.
  • Hype Bread (egg/dairy free) ($7.50) - Developed as a hypoallergenic bread suitable for most elimination diets (does contain yeast), this brown bread is moist and flavourful, and great for sandwiches.
  • Sourdough Boule (dairy/egg/yeast-free) ($6.00) - Crusty, dense and chewy, with a great shelf life. White or Multigrain.

  • Focaccia Bread (dairy-free) ($4.00) - Fluffy, velvety crumb and warm olive oil flavour with a sprinkling of coarse sea salt. 6" round.
    Cut in half, it works great for 2 individual pizza crusts, or grill it for panini sandwiches!
  • Baguette (dairy free) ( $3.50 ) - Crisp crust and moist chewy interior; perfect for picnics, dinner parties, or sliced and toasted as canape crackers.
  • Hamburger Bun ($1.50) - Made with our focaccia dough, it stands up to the demands of a vigorous burger builder.
  • Dinner Roll ($1.00) - Made a bit smaller from your choice of bread (we recommend pepita, vega or focaccia).
  • Hotdog Bun ($1.50) - Made with our focaccia dough.
  • Cinnamon Bun ($3.25) - soft chewy bun laced with organic cinnamon sugar and covered with cream cheese frosting.
  • Frozen Pizza Shell (dairy free) ($2.00) - 6" round, chewy dough.
    Instructions: Brush shell bottom with olive oil, place on baking tray, add toppings of your choice, and bake 7-10 min in 500 degree oven. If baking from frozen, baking time could increase. *Do not bake on foil laminated paper board that is included with shell.

Holiday Breads

  • Walnut Cranberry Bread (dairy free) ($9.00) - fluffy and moist like our pepita, but rich with walnuts and sweet cranberries (great for stuffing).
  • Roasted Garlic & Herb Vega Bread (dairy/egg-free) ($8.50) - our vega bread made more exciting with roasted garlic & savoury herbs (also great for stuffing).
  • Panettone (pack/2 - $6.00) - individual sized soft buttery bread filled with dried fruit and candied citrus (contains ground almonds).
  • Hot Cross Bun ($3.25) - similar to the panettone but topped with a cross of cream cheese frosting.

Bars

  • Granola Bar - Seriously addictive, these energizing bars are packed with a wide variety of protein-rich seeds and tangy dried fruit.

    • -Regular ($3.00): Soft and lush, made with butter.
    -Almond(dairy/sugar-free) ($3.25): Made special with natural almond butter and local honey.

  • Oat Bar ($2.50)(seasonal) - Buttery and crumbly, with a layer of crushed fruit inside.
  • Fig Square ($6.00/pack of 4)- Soft, delicately spiced cookie surrounding a layer of pureed fig and date filling, infused with a hint of candied orange.
  • Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar(dairy/egg-free) ($2.50/pack of 2)- Michel Cluizel chocolate chips and a touch of banana puree make this soft bar a rich treat.
  • Brownie(contains ground almonds) ($3.00) - Dark fudgy indulgence.

  • Coconut Macaroon (dairy-free) - Not your Grandma’s sweet sticky cookie. More like a soft cloud of fresh coconut taste with a hint of honey.
  • Chocolate Ginger Chew - Fresh ginger And chocolate without the snap.
  • Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar(dairy/egg-free) ($2.50/pack of 2)- Michel Cluizel chocolate chips and a touch of banana puree make this soft bar a rich treat.
  • Espresso Almond Sable - Buttery cookie made with ground almonds and espresso.

  • Focaccia Sandwich - made daily with fillings like all-natural smoked ham & goat chevre, devilled egg salad, or hummus. $5.00 each
  • Roasted Vegetable Strata - a classic Italian dish, made with roasted vegetables, garlic, herbs and pieces of our bread baked in a savoury creamy custard with cheese. $5.00 per slice
  • Quiche - crusty pastry baked with a creamy filling: your choice of goat feta, spinach, apple & red onion, or bacon & gruyere cheese.

  • Pizza - 6" round chewy crust, meat or vegetarian variety. $5.50 each
  • Cheese Scone - soft and savoury with gruyere cheese and herbs. $2.25 each
  • Loose Granola (butter or vegan) - crunchy toasted granola made with maple syrup for sweetness; perfect on yogurt, or try with almond milk! $1.80 per 100g
  • Muesli (vegan) - unsweetened toasted oats blended with pistachios and cranberries. Good either cooked or the way it is... $1.40 per 100g

  • Origin T-shirt - soft blend of 70% bamboo/30% cotton, made in Canada, and printed with our logo! Available in fitted v-neck women's (brown or natural) or men's (grey) style. $25.00 each.
  • Origin Cup - porcelain reusable cup printed with our logo and topped with black silicone lid. Looks just like a to-go cup but will last a lot longer! Also, get 15% off your drinks at the bakery if you use this cup. $19.95 each

    • - oat flour - great in a gluten-free flour blend for muffins, cakes or breads.

    - oat flakes - popular rolled oats style, ideal for granola, cookies or breakfast!

    - oat pearls - also called 'steel cut oats', these are great cooked as a hearty porridge, or try as a replacement for barley in soup, or rice in a risotto.

  • Pancake Mix - Our special gluten-free blend, just add buttermilk & an egg! Each package makes about 12 medium sized pancakes. ($3.00 per bag)
  • Gift Cards - if you can't think of what to choose, let them do the choosing!

Returns and Exchanges

    All sales are final. If you have already left the store with your purchases, we will be unable to exchange products should you change your mind and return. Please make sure you go over the ingredients of each product if you have allergies/intolerances to anything besides gluten. We have 2 binders available in the bakery listing ingredients for all of our products.

    If an item is unsatisfactory due to an error in production on our part,
    contact us within 48 hours of purchasing it.
    Items in question must be returned for possible full exchange/credit.
    If item is returned we may offer a free replacement of the same/similar product, or a gift card with store credit for the full price paid for the product.
    If item is not returned, we may offer 50% off the price for the same/similar product, or a gift card with store credit for half the amount paid, if a receipt is returned for the original purchase.

    If we are contacted after 48 hours of the purchase, we may offer 50% off the same/similar product.
